Studies included a strong focus on C++ and specifically its use in game development. Also, heavy emphasis was put on problem solving at an individual level so as to be self-sufficient with a large variety of problems that one may encounter when developing games and applications.

Race To Riches, OGRE, PC September 2010 – July 2011

 

 

  • Reworked entire AI system – race manager and announcer system
  • Refactoring much of large code-base, optimized, redesigned much of the code structure
  • Implemented real-time test feedback system
  • Particle effects, Camera AI, and UI logic

Ethanol Application – Personal Side Project, iPhone January 2010 – July 2010

  • Created using iPhone SDK and Google’s MapKit
  • Features:
    • Ethanol/Unleaded savings calculator
    • Map showing gas stations with E-85 available and user’s location
    • Facts screen about ethanol

Alien Antix – 3D Platformer, PC December 2009 – May 2010

  • Created using C++ and Direct3D
  • Worked with a team of 13 programmers, 2 artists, 1 producer
  • Tech lead, ensure coding standards and conduct code reviews
  • Wrote and implemented collision prototype, algorithms and BVH
  • Documented system architecture with UML diagrams
  • Created various visual effects using HLSL, including procedural lightning

TMNT Tactics – Isometric Turn-based Strategy, PC May 2009 – June 2009

  • Created using C++ and Direct3D
  • Worked with a team of 3 programmers
  • Created isometric tile editor for map creation using C#
  • Tech lead, responsible for coding standards, rendering, and engine development
  • Wrote and implemented 2D isometric tile picking
